Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requires drivers that pursue a CDL or upgrade their CDL after February 7, 2022 must complete Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT).

This ELDT THEORY is an online classroom course that meets the requirements set forth in 49CFR 380. *Appendix A and **Appendix B.

*Appendix A is for CDL-A Theory. **Appendix B is for CDL-B Theory.

This course covers BOTH A+B Appendix.

Students will be required to take quizzes and tests.
Students need an 80% to pass this course per FMCSA.

Upon successful passing of the ELDT THEORY, CDS will enter the driver’s pertinent information into the Training Provider Registry.

The ELDT THEORY is CLASSROOM ONLY.

It is NOT the BEHIND THE WHEEL (BTW) or OFF-ROAD SKILLS. The student is responsible for BTW and OFF-ROAD SKILLS with another Registered Training Provider (RTP).


