Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Requires drivers that pursue a CDL HAZMAT ENDORSEMENT on their current CDL after February 7, 2022 must complete Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT).

This HAZMAT ELDT THEORY is an online course that meets the requirements set forth in 49CFR 380 – Appendix E.

COST: $150.00 USD

Students need an 80% to pass this course per FMCSA.

Upon successful passing of the HAZMAT ELDT THEORY, CDS will enter the driver’s pertinent information into the Training Provider Registry.

The HAZMAT ELDT THEORY is the CLASSROOM THEORY ONLY. It is NOT the HAZMAT ENDORSEMENT.

Student is responsible for Department of Safety applications, fingerprinting, written testing and applicable fee(s).


